For the third consecutive year, All West Communications has partnered with CoBank to double much-needed funds for local food banks in their service areas. This year, the following food banks will receive a combined donation of more than $5,000:
- Christian Center of Park City, Park City, UT
- Community Action Services, Coalville, UT
- Community Action Services, Heber, UT
- Food Bank of Sweetwater County, Green River, WY
- Food Bank of Sweetwater County, Rock Springs, WY
- The Lord’s Storehouse, Evanston, WY
All West believes in making a difference in the communities they serve. Their Community Connections program allows them to support local non-profit groups, community events, and neighbors. Each year, over $50,000 is given back to the community. For the past few years, All West has been able to give back to the communities by providing funds to local food banks.
CoBank’s Sharing Success program doubles the contributions of its customers to the charitable organizations and causes they care about most. Since 2012, they’ve partnered with customers to contribute more than $56 million in combined donations. CoBank gives to groups such as volunteer fire departments, local schools, and hunger relief programs.
In past years, All West has hosted a food drive at their offices, where non-perishable goods could be dropped off. Along with the items donated by community members and employees, they would also give monetary donations to help the food banks. With COVID-19 still prevalent at this time, All West decided to forgo their food drive and only provide a monetary donation this 2021 holiday season. The donations will help each food bank be able to provide vital food and supplies during hard times. All West is proud to support all members of their communities.
Jessica Bryant, Marketing and Volunteer Manager at the Christian Center of Park City, said, “These funds will help support the needs of our pantry clients by allowing us to purchase items for our Snacks in Backpack program.” Snacks in Backpacks is one of their programs, which provides supplemental nutrition to children in need in the Park City and Wasatch County School Districts. Pantry donations also help support operating costs so the pantry can be staffed and open to the community 6 days a week.
Food banks aid, support and make a difference in community members’ lives. Karen McCandless, CEO of Community Action Services and Food Bank, stated the matching donation from CoBank allows them to be able to help even more people in Heber and Coalville, Utah. Last year, Community Action Services and Food Bank collected and distributed 3.5 million pounds of food throughout Utah, Wasatch and Summit counties.
Representatives from the Food Bank of Sweetwater County and The Lord’s Storehouse also expressed their gratitude for All West and CoBank’s monetary donation. The Food Bank of Sweetwater County opened in 1987 and has locations in Green River and Rock Springs, Wyoming. The Lord’s Storehouse provides year-round food assistance to families who are struggling or are in crisis in Uinta County, Wyoming. All food banks mentioned accept donations year-round to help provide for people in need a part of these communities.
All West would like to thank CoBank for their Sharing Success program and charitable match to All West’s donations this year.
